VRM attracts 2 million and becomes technological partner of ChromaWay

Swedish blockchain-focused ChromaWay is leading the €2 million investment round closed by sports technology firm VRM, with which it will be able to develop new opportunities in content creation for the metaverse, NFT and gaming. The Swedish group, with its blockchain Chromia, has created close to 1 billion euros of value among the projects developed on this digital product.

According to the company, it is designed to address shortcomings of existing platforms such as poor user experience, high transaction fees, frustrating experience for developers and poor security. With Chromia, decentralized applications can be scaled to millions of users as if they were traditional applications.

"ChromaWay joins VRM, not only as an investor, but also as a technology partner for the development of solutions and content in a world that has only just begun and is here to stay," said Juan Marí Guillot, CEO of VRM. Henrik Hjelte, general manager of ChromaWay, emphasizes that "VRM has built up an impressive client list and is at the forefront of both the licensed NFT and the rapidly expanding virtual experience market".

VRM (Virtual Real Management), based in Barcelona, is gaining positions in the metaverse market in Europe, with a client portfolio of 50 brands and more than 150,000 users. The company has collaborated in recent months in the creation of NFT and virtual content for several sports companies such as Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Basketball, LaLiga, Roland Garros and F1 Virtual Paddock Club. The start-up's latest milestone was the creation of the NFT Trophy and Rings collection to honor the champions of the EuroLeague Basketball 2022.
